The World Rescue Organisation is pleased to announce that Germany has offered to bring forward its hosting of the World Rescue Challenge from 2010 to 2009.
Discussions between Germany and the WRO have seen agreement that it will be possible to host the event this year. Last weekend a team from the UKRO travelled to Germany to discuss options and view potential venues. These meetings concluded that the proposed venues are available and suitable for the 2009 WRC.
It has been agreed between the WRO and Germany that the event will consist of an Extrication Challenge and Trauma Challenge.
Continuing discussions will confirm the exact date of the event within the next few weeks, however it will take place in Frankfurt between the last week in September and the end of October 2009.
Teams interested in participating should contact their regional organisations in the first instance. In the short term expressions of interest to participate should be passed to the WRO secretary at secretary@wrescue.org
