10/11/2008 2009 World Rescue Challenge Cancelled It is with regret that the 2009 World Rescue Challenge has been cancelled. The event programmed to take place in Cherry Valley, USA saw local constraints which required the withdrawal of the hosts. The World Rescue Organisation along with its regional members, undertook a review of possible alternative venues, and despite exhaustive efforts by all concerned, every possible alternative has now confirmed that they will not be able to host the event. For most of the alternative venues shortness of time and availability of funds were the main reasons that they could not host the event on this occasion. As you may be aware the 2010 World Rescue Challenge will be hosted in Germany, and the WRO look forward to that event.
