16/11/2007 Sakhalin Energy & Sakhalin Road Safety Partnership receives top award   Sakhalin Energy, the Sakhalin Energy Road Safety Programme and the Sakhalin Road Safety Partnership have been recognised for their outstanding work in road safety by being awarded the "Energy Institute 2007 Safety Award" in London earlier this week. In accepting the award, Andy Pearce, Senior Group HSE Auditor, remarked that "the inspiration behind the programme came from honouring the memory of Nina Solntseva, the environmental scientist who died after a crash on Sakhalin in September 2004, and that the award would serve as an inspiration to all the people inside and outside the company that have delivered road safety work of a quality that is recognised internationally in this way". Andy went on to say "I would like to pass on my congratulations particularly to the many Russian SEIC staff both from the HSE Road Safety Team and from all over the company, the police, the Church, the GRSP, Schlumberger, the World Rescue Organisation and all the others who have worked so hard to improve road safety both in the company and on Sakhalin. I am sure this well deserved recognition will inspire them to achieve even more in the future".
